BIO

Kim has been taking photos around the Melbourne ‘burbs over the past 10 years in an effort to capture their quirks before urban development changes suburbia’s face forever. She’s shamelessly nostalgic, drawn to scenes reminiscent of her suburban childhood. Kim enjoys capturing modernist and art deco architecture, topiary, milk bars, vintage cars and signs, plus the many unique details that can be found around the domestic home and garden. Her first book “The ‘Burbs: A Visual Journey Through The Australian Suburbs” was published by Thames and Hudson Australia in late 2018.
